Torrevieja ScenePlaces To Go in TorreviejaTorrejieva has been a salt mining centre for Europe since the 1800's and the salt lakes from which salt is taken are a haven for huge numbers of birdlife. See pink flamingoes and other birds on the lakes to the West and North or visit the sea and salt museum. If salt isn't to your taste then why not take a trip to the thriving harbour and visit the busy fish market or the evening craft market for something different. Torrevieja is even host to one of Spain's largest outdoor produce markets every Friday morning which is definitely worth a look. But if relaxation is all you want from your holiday there's miles and miles of sandy beaches which consistently receive the Blue Flag award for cleanliness within easy reach, with many area's almost completely empty of people. Last but by no means least is the Torrevieja Waterpark or Aquopolis - one of the largest water parks in the Costa Blanca. It's the perfect place for a family day out.
